Ways to Support Students

Contributions promote student success and can be made through cash, check, credit card, securities, gifts of stock, or in-kind. Gifts can be made unrestricted or allocated to a particular area of interest such as scholarships, student emergency assistance (Hope Fund), student employment, the KVCC Food Pantry, textbook assistance, childcare assistance, or to a specific program, initiative, or infrastructure improvement.

Establish a Scholarship or Make a Scholarship Gift: Scholarships open the door to students who may have otherwise been unable to enroll in college. Scholarships also ensure that once a student enrolls in college, he/she will continue on their path to success.

  • Scholarship founders may establish the scholarship name and criteria for award.
  • Scholarships can be established with a one-time gift of any amount, through a scheduled renewable annual contribution, or with a gift of $10,000 or greater to form an endowed scholarship fund.
  • Endowed scholarships create a perpetual scholarship fund with the KVCC Foundation, ensuring a legacy of support for students now and in the future.
  • Scholarship contributions may be made to any existing scholarship fund to expand opportunities for students.

Enhance Program Capacity, Quality, and Innovation: KVCC offers more than 30 degree and certificate programs. There are a variety of opportunities for in-kind contributions, programmatic grants, and gifts made to a specific academic or department program or initiative that meets your needs and personal or business interests.

Support the Foundation’s Annual Fund: The Foundation’s Planning Committee establishes yearly goals and student support priorities. Unrestricted “best-use” contributions will be used to provide student support services and resources that are most needed at the time of the gift.

Planned Giving: Planned giving offers numerous benefits to students and donors. Contributions may be tailored to meet specific long term interests. Bequeathed gifts ensure that students will be supported in the future without affecting current donor assets. Click for more information regarding Planned Giving Options.
