Academic Year Scholarship Application

  • The fall 2024 scholarship application period will close September 15, 2024. This scholarship application may only be submitted once per academic year. For example, if you select fall only, you may not submit another application for the spring semester of the same academic year. Additional applications will be denied and will slow the application review process.
  • Please enter your 7 digit KVCC student ID number. This usually starts with a 5 or a 6 and is NOT on your student id badge. Processing of your application will be delayed if your ID is not correctly entered. Your application may be declined if your KVCC student ID is not entered correctly on this application.
  • MM slash DD slash YYYY
  • Please enter your current program (e.g. General Science or Health Science Certificate) even if you are tracking to enroll in another program in a future semester (e.g. Nursing). Please do not enter Nursing if you are currently in HSC.
  • It is important that you enter your official KVCC email address here. Please do NOT enter a personal email address such as Yahoo or Gmail here. Please be accurate with your KVCC email address. If your KVCC email address is not provided, your application may be declined. Your KVCC email is typically formatted as: last.first@kvcc.me.edu
  • Please do not select "tuition and fees" if you are receiving a Pell Grant, tuition voucher, free college scholarship, vocational rehab, employer and/or other tuition assistance that is equal or greater than your total tuition and fee charges.
  • Are you a veteran of the U.S. Armed Forces?
  • Are you a U.S. citizen? If you are a U.S. Permanent Resident or other eligible non-citizen, answer eligible non-citizen.
  • Please share the scholarship award range that you feel is best aligned to your unmet financial needs with regard to your KVCC enrollment. Although this question does not guarantee any specific award amount, or any award at all, this does provide an opportunity for you to better articulate your anticipated financial needs with the scholarship committee. Please keep in mind that scholarship awards range from $200-$3,000 per academic year with the greatest amounts awarded to students with the least amount of financial aid grants and external scholarships already awarded through FAFSA, employment, Free College for ME, and/or other sources of student financial assistance. Full-time students will financial aid awards (grants, scholarships, loans, waivers, etc.) in excess of $12,000 are not likely to be awarded a KVCC Foundation Scholarship.
  • KVCC recognizes that students often have competing demands outside of class. KVCC currently has a childcare grant in collaboration with KVCap. The grant provides childcare supports and subsidies to qualifying students with child/ren that are younger than 5 years that are not eligible for kindergarten. If you would like KVCC to forward your KVCC scholarship application to KVCap to determine if you may be eligible for childcare supports and/or subsidy, please enter your name and date in the box below.
