KVCC Domestic Violence Awareness Month

Date/Time
Date(s) - 10/01/2020 - 10/31/2020

In honor of Domestic Violence Awareness Month, KVCC is once again partnering with The Family Violence Project to host an interactive display of The Clothesline Project:

The first Domestic Violence Clothesline originated in 1990 and carried 31 shirts in different colors, each color-coded and decorated to represent a particular survivor’s experience.  Since its inception, the Clothesline Project has grown into an international effort, with more than 500 projects throughout the world.

It is a powerful reminder of the many invisible ways that interpersonal violence impacts our community.

Members of the KV Community are encouraged to participate in this unique experience.  Instead of decorating shirts or posters, we are offering you a plain white cloth mask to design with your own messages of support and, if so inclined, their own experiences or those of their loved ones.

To request your mask, simply complete this form and one will be mailed to you.  We ask that students will take a picture of their mask, either wearing it or simply the mask itself, and post it to the KV App.
