The KVCC FOUNDATION’S mission is:

To raise funds for scholarship, facilities, and the general betterment of the College.

To this end, the purposes of the Foundation are: To promote and support all educational programs at KVCC; to promote academic excellence and to provide support for needy students through scholarships; to support projects of an educational nature that are needed to further training and to encourage the theory and practice of high ethical standards in business and industry; to promote respect for technical education and to that end merit a reputation for quality education; to promote support for a well-balanced liberal arts education and the transfer to 4-year colleges and universities; and to encourage public support for a community-college education in Central Maine through public relations and general publicity of outstanding efforts.

to students through scholarships, making education possible for those who might not otherwise be able to afford it. We provide funds to the College, making the best possible facilities and equipment available to students.

to 4-year colleges and universities by transferring well-prepared, motivated students to baccalaureate programs and beyond.

CHARITABLE GIVING

There are many ways that you can contribute to KVCC, through the KVCC Foundation:

Cash Gifts — Contributions of cash, or by check or credit card (MC, VISA, and Discover) of any amount should be designated to the KVCC Foundation, and mailed to the address above. Donations by credit card can also be taken over the phone by calling the number above. Gifts can be either restricted or unrestricted in nature.

Stocks/Mutual Funds/Securities — A gift of appreciated securities may be your best way to make a contribution while avoiding capital gains tax and receiving a tax deduction at fair market value.  

Pledges — Written notification of intent to provide an Annual Fund gift before the end of the fiscal calendar year (June 30) is gratefully accepted at any time.  

Matching Gifts — Many companies will match an employee’s gift to a non-profit organization. Please ask whether your employer participates in a matching gifts program. If so, enclose the company’s matching gift form with your contribution. You will be recognized in one of KVCC's gift clubs for the full amount of your gift plus the match.  

Honor and Memorial Gifts — A gift made in honor or in memory of a cherished individual, family member, or friend is gratefully accepted and recognized by the College accordingly.  

Gifts-in-Kind — Contributions of goods or special services are accepted on a case-by-case basis. This may include real estate, vehicles, office equipment, furnishings, or other items that would represent savings for the College’s operating budget.  

Planned Giving — Please consider securing KVCC's future by including the Foundation in your will or other estate plans. By making KVCC part of your estate planning, you can make an enormous difference in the lives of many students.
