Welcome

Students are the heart of the KVCC community. Whether you’re a recent high school graduate, a parent starting a new chapter, a neighbor, or someone who has traveled a great distance to be here—welcome! Whether this is your first year or your final semester, you are part of the KVCC family.

“Your bridge to a brighter future” is more than a motto. Picture yourself standing at the edge of a river, ready to cross to something greater. We are here to be that bridge—to guide, support, and cheer you on as you make that journey. Everyone, from your dedicated faculty to your student success advisors, to KVCC office staff, and club advisors, is here to help ensure that students have a fulfilling experience.

At KVCC, we understand you are juggling your coursework with an already busy life. Make time for self-care and try out a few activities beyond your studies. Join a club or sports team, take part in wellness events, and cheer on your fellow KVCC athletes at a game. These are the experiences that help you build connections, make friends, and create memories that will move you forward.

KVCC Week of Welcome

The Week of Welcome offers students the chance to participate in several activities. Watch your KV email for more information.  In addition to these activities, faculty and staff are available in the King Hall Lobby in Fairfield and the Lobby of the Science Building on the Alfond Campus to answer questions, provide directions, refer students to resources on campus and distribute student IDs. This table will be staffed Monday through Thursday, 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
