Learn the Basic Life Saving skills needed for your career! This course is for students entering any of the several healthcare professions (EMT, Nursing, CNA, Residential Care, etc.
Complete this training through a hybrid format or in person!
Students who have been certified in the past, and have let their certification lapse by more than 30 days will need to take this full class.
The $85 course covers:
- One and two-person adult, child, and infant CPR
- Obstructed airway maneuvers for the conscious and unconscious victim
- Barrier devices and disease transmission and prevention
- Introduction to the Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
- Legal and ethical considerations
- Special resuscitation situations
HYBRID TRAINING
Trainees will independently complete an online training course (approx. 1-2 hours) then complete your Skills Assessment using an automated CPR machine at KVCC Fairfield campus. This takes portion of the training takes about 30-60 minutes and is available any time during open campus hours. Click HERE to register for the hybrid course.

Refund Policy for Workforce Trainings
• To receive a full refund, a trainee must cancel/drop their enrollment or registration more than 3 business days before the start of the course.
• A partial refund of 50% of the course fee will be refunded, if the trainee drops within 3 business days prior to the course start date.
• No refund will be given after the course start date.
Kennebec Valley Community College reserves the right to cancel a course for any reason. In the event Kennebec Valley Community College cancels a training, the course fee will be refunded in full.
