Free College Scholarship Details

If you have been awarded a FREE College Scholarship, first – Congratulations! Below are some important details to know about your scholarship:

Free College Scholarships cover tuition and mandatory fees* that are not already covered by your awarded federal and state grant funding
Initial Free College scholarship amounts are estimates. These estimates will be updated after the add/drop period to reflect the true coverage of eligible tuition and mandatory fees.
To maintain your Free College Scholarship, you must meet the following qualifications:
- Enrolled in an Associate’s degree or certificate program
- Develop an academic plan for on-time completion with your advisor. Need assistance with your plan? Reach out to kvccadvising@mainecc.edu
- Make satisfactory academic progress and complete your degree within 200% of the stated completion time.
- Reside in Maine when starting the program and throughout the completion of your degree
