Increase your career skills with this heavy equipment operator training, designed to improve your productivity, safety, and job site performance. This hands-on program uses real construction equipment— including bulldozers, loaders, and excavators— to help you build practical, job-ready operating skills.

  • Cost: $2,500 *after HAF Compact Member funding applied ($3,700 without HAF funds)
  • Class Capacity: 12 trainees
  • Requires 2 weekdays of full-time participation (8-hours) during each of the 7 weeks of training.

PREREQUISITES

  • 18+ years old & Maine resident
  • High School diploma, GED, or HiSET
  • Proof of authorization to work in USA
  • 1–2 years job site experience
  • Recommendation from employer
  • OSHA 10 (will be offered at KVCC prior to HEOT)
This training is eligible for the Harold Alfond Center for the Advancement of Maine’s Workforce Grant:
50% of course cost, up to $1200, available for eligible workers; organizations must join the Maine Workforce Development Compact to be eligible for funds.
