How to talk to Kids about Ukraine

Children and teens have access to more news content than ever before and even if you have not talked with them about it, it is very likely that they have now heard about the Russian invasion of the Ukraine. Your approach will vary depending on your child’s age or past experiences. For many, the trauma of the COVID-19 pandemic such as fear and hopelessness may be reignited by the attack in the Ukraine. Knowing that your children can turn to you when they need someone is very important. Take the time to ask your children what they are thinking and feeling or ask them what they know about current events.

Check out more information on talking to children about war here.
