In the past, Student Senate’s annual initiatives have included:
Approve any funding requests from clubs (ongoing)
Assist clubs in any fundraising projects—if needed (ongoing)
Determine if new clubs should be approved/funded (ongoing)
KV App Presence (ongoing)
Manage the Student Senate Drop Box for comments/ideas (ongoing and online)
Trunk or Treat (October)
Thanksgiving Food Drive (November)
Presence/Opening remarks at KVCC Thanksgiving (November)
Season of Giving (December) (Helps coordinate a gift drive to provide gifts for kids of KVCC student who cannot afford to give them gifts during the holidays.)
Assist with Pass the Kindness Week (February).  It’s a Phi Theta Kappa event, but Student Senate typically joins in the spreading of the kindness in some fashion.
Spring Student Survey (usually in February)
Freecycle Week (March)
Student Leadership Dinner (April)
