Through this state-approved hybrid training, law enforcement officers will learn the ethical and legal aspects of phlebotomy, anatomy and physiology, and the required safety precautions.

Proof of the following immunizations, titers (blood draws) and a criminal background check are REQUIRED for participation. You should begin to get these immunizations at least 4 months prior to the start of the class:

1. MMR (proof of two vaccinations or MMR titers – if titers are non-immune, proof of 2 doses required)
2. Tuberculosis (t-spot or two step PPD (1st implant, 1st read, 2nd implant, 2nd read) within 6 weeks of each other and dated within 6 months of the start of the course.
3. Hepatitis B (2 or 3 shot series and a titer – if titer is non-immune Hep B waiver signed by your doctor is required)
4. Varicella titer (if non-immune proof of two vaccinations required)
5. Tdap vaccination – within the last 10 years
6. Influenza vaccination – annually
7. COVID-19 (optional: if you have received this, please upload documentation)

If you are accepted into the program, you will get further instructions on where/how to securely submit your vaccination records.
