Children’s Language & Literacy Development (Online)

An introduction to language and literacy development in the young child, from birth to age eight. This course focuses on the components of language knowledge and writing processes of young children. Students will gain knowledge of recommended teaching practices for specific age groups and the resources needed for planning developmentally appropriate experiences. Participants in the course are required to have their HS Diploma, GED, or HiSET.

• Class Capacity: 8-18 trainees
• In addition to the independent online work, his course meets via Zoom for 3-hour sessions from 5pm-8pm. Attending these sessions is required.
