BLS/CPR for Healthcare Providers (Wednesday – In Person)

This in-person course is for students or members of the public entering any of the several healthcare professions (EMT, Nursing, CNA, Residential Care, etc). Students who have been certified in the past, and have let their certification lapse by more than 30 days will need to take this full class.

This course covers:

One and two-person adult, child, and infant CPR
Obstructed airway maneuvers for the conscious and unconscious victim
Barrier devices and disease transmission and prevention
Introduction to the Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
Legal and ethical considerations
Special resuscitation situations

This training is eligible for the Harold Alfond Center for the Advancement of Maine’s Workforce Grant:
50% of course cost, up to $1200, available for eligible workers; organizations must join the Maine Workforce Development Compact to be eligible for funds.
