Lyle Michaud is a pianist, composer/arranger, and teacher originally from Charlestown, NH. He graduated Cum Laude from The Master’s University in Santa Clarita, CA with a degree in Music Composition in 2014. He has been playing piano for over 20 years and has performed in multiple venues nationwide and worldwide. He studied piano with Dr. Daniel Weiser at Dartmouth College before studying with Prof. Lauren Shackelford at The Master’s University. In 2009 he released his debut solo piano album “Tranquility”, available on iTunes and Amazon. As a composer and arranger, he writes for a variety of instruments and ensembles, including piano, choir, and orchestra. He has composed and arranged music for weddings, conferences, theater, studio recordings, and advertisements. He studied composition under Dr. Joel Scott Davis and Prof. Sarah Wallin-Huff. Lyle also enjoys singing, and has toured various regions in Europe, Israel, and the Midwest as a member of The Master’s Chorale.

Now a full time piano instructor, Lyle has been teaching since 2007 and loves sharing his passion for music with his students while developing within them a musical sensibility and understanding. Recently, he’s played keyboards in such venues as Disneyland and the Hollywood House of Blues, sang in a backup choir for Josh Groban’s PBS special “Stages”, and started a jazz band this past summer. His hobbies include graphic design, interior design, lamp making, coin collecting, horticulture, listening to old jazz music on vinyl, and hanging out with friends.
