Kennebec Valley Community College's Center for
Professional Development has an established
history in industrial, mechanical, medical,
safety, computer and business training.
Areas in which courses are available include,
but are not limited to the following:
- Motion Control/Mechanical Maintenance
(i.e. Welding, Pneumatics, etc.)
- OSHA (i.e. Hazardous Materials, Machine
Tool Guarding, etc.)
- Industrial (i.e. Boiler Operations,
Plumbing Code, etc.)
- Licensure Courses (i.e. National
Electrical Code, CPR, Maine Guide, etc.)
- Business & Computers (i.e. Supervisory,
Customer Relations, Microsoft, Internet,
etc.)
- Personal Enrichment (i.e. Investing,
Stress Management, etc.)

programs may be taught at the work site in order
to better serve the training needs of a
particular business or industry.****
Maine Quality Center's Mission is to promote
economic development by providing job specific
training for new and expanding businesses in
Maine. Funded by the State of Maine, the
program offers customized education and
training, as well as recruitment and screening
of trainees, at no cost to either the employer
or the trainees. The Quality Center
provides tangible incentives for businesses to
create new jobs.
