Maine Quality Center's mission
To promote economic development by providing job specific training for
new and expanding businesses in Maine. Funded by the State of Maine,
the program offers customized education and training, as well as recruitment
and screening of trainees, at no cost to either the employer or the
trainees. The Quality Center provides tangible incentives for businesses to
create new jobs.
Kennebec Valley Community College’s Professional
Development Office has helped area businesses recruit and train new
employees through the efforts of the Maine Quality Centers project. This
project, funded by the Maine State Legislature, is designed to assist
companies who are new, or expanding their full-time work-force by providing
training and recruitment services to assure that these companies have a
skilled and qualified workforce. Quality Center training is provided at no
cost to the company or the students.
If your company is planning to expand your full-time
workforce, or have recently expanded your workforce, please call the
Associate Dean of Continuing Education at 453-5116 to set up an appointment
to see how we may be able to help you.
