HUM101 Multi-Cultural Nature
of American Society (H)
3 Credits
This course will examine, through selected interdisciplinary readings, the
experience of African Americans, Asian Americans, and Native Americans. We
will explore the historical and social experiences of these three groups and
some of their literary and cultural contributions to the diversity of our
American society.
HUM201 Seminar in Inquiry (H)
3 Credits
This humanities course is designed to give students the opportunity to
reflect on their learning and their personal growth and development. Through
interdisciplinary readings, students will examine the issues of identity,
knowledge, ethical decision making, and the role of education in their
lives. This course emphasizes critical thinking skills and effective oral
and written communication skills. Students will be required to design,
research, write, and present a major project.
