Is TRiO just for students with disabilities?

No, being a student with a documented disability is one way in which you could be eligible for TRiO services, but it is not the only way. TRiO also serves first generation, and low income students as well.

Do I have to attend all TRiO events?

No, however, studies show that students who are involved with their campus are more likely to stay in school until they graduate. Therefore, we encourage your participation in TRiO and KVCC campus events.

Do I have to re-apply every year to be in TRiO?

No, once you have been accepted into the TRiO Project you will be a TRiO participant until you leave KVCC.

Do all TRiO participants receive scholarships?

No. As a KVCC student you may apply for all available scholarships. As a participant you may also apply for the TRiO Grant Aid scholarship. However, not all participants will be eligible for the TRiO Grant Aid scholarship. If you have further questions please contact us
