Journal Article Search Tips

The mission of Lunder Library is to facilitate physical and electronic access to information services for the changing needs of a diverse population.

On Campus

  • Login to the KVCC network.
  • Click on Internet Explorer.
  • Go to library web page (http://www.kvcc.me.edu/library/)
  • Look under Research and Find Articles.
  • Select the database you wish to search: EBSCO, MARVEL, LexisNexis,
        CQ Researcher.
  • In the search box type in your keywords.
  • You may use and, not, or and truncate with the asterisk *.
  • If desired, select Full Text or Scholarly (Peer Reviewed) Journals to limit
        your results.
  • To search for a phrase, enclose it in double quotes ".
  • Click the Search button.
  • Scroll through results.
  • Click on any to bring up individual record.
  • You can print your article, e-mail it to yourself, or save to disk.
  • To finish close Internet Explorer.
     

    Off Campus

  • Connect to your internet service provider. (ex. AOL, Adelphia, GWI, etc)
  • Open Internet Explorer.
  • For MARVEL, continue as stated above for on-campus users.
  • For EBSCO, LexisNexis, and CQ Researcher, call 453-5004 for password.
