4. What local newspapers does the library subscribe to?
We subscribe to The Waterville Morning Sentinel and the Bangor Daily News. We also have links to their web sites as well as the several other newspaper sites which can be accessed through Marvel’s Proquest database.
5. Where can I find the ValueLine Mutual Fund Survey?
The survey is kept at the Circulation Desk with our reserved materials. Just stop by and ask for the
folders and you can review the materials. Or you can access it through MARVEL on
the library web site.

1. How Do I find a book/video?

2. What do I need to check out books?
You need to have a valid student ID issued by the IT Department which will have your barcode number printed on the front.
3. Does the library charge an overdue fee?
No, there are no daily overdue fines. Please renew your books for as long as you need them.
4. Do I need my student ID to check out a book?
No, it will, however make your transaction go quicker if you do have your ID available.
5. How many books can I check out at one time?
You can have up to 10 items checked out at one time.
6. What is the loan period for checking items out from the Lunder Library?
Books are taken out for 3 weeks, magazines for 1 week and videos/DVD/audio can be taken out for 1 week.

8. How do I see what I have checked out?
Go to the library page on the KVCC web site and under book search click on “your Record”. There are text boxes for your name and Barcode number. Submit those and you can view your record on-line. Also, you can see what you have checked out by clicking on the Online Catalog-KVCC link on the library homepage. Scrolling all the way down to the bottom of the page, click on the home button. Now click on the patron record button, type in your name and barcode number. Click on submit. Your record should appear with how many items you have checked out or have requested. You can click on these links to bring up the information about the items.

Interlibrary Loan
1. Do KVCC students have borrowing privileges at other libraries in the area?
Yes, we have walk-in agreements with Waterville Public, Colby College, Maine General Waterville, and Thomas College. Which means you can physical go there and check out books. Plus we also have patron initiated requesting within Minerva and Maine Info Net.

3. What is Minerva?
Minerva is group of libraries that have pooled their resources in order to provide their patrons with a wider variety of materials.
4. What is URSUS?
URSUS is the shared Catalog of the University of Maine System, Bangor Public Library, Maine State Library, Maine State Law and Legislative Reference Library.
5. What is Maine Info Net?
Maine Info Net is a statewide catalog that combines and links library collections. This links the Minerva collection and the URSUS collection in order to increase the amount of material available to our patrons.
6. How do I know when my interlibrary loan has arrived and where do I pick it up?
You will be contacted through you school e-mail address or by whatever means we have available if you do not have an e-mail address through KVCC. You will then need to come to the library to pick up the item and return the item when you are finished.

Please check the Library door and your email for the most up-to-date library hours. Also, check the library web page for hours. The library is open during regular semesters from 8am-9pm Monday –Thursday, 8am-4pm
Friday. During vacations and summer the hours change.
3. How do I recommend a book or journal for purchase by the library?
On the library’s web page click on “Purchase Request” (Listed under Library Links). Then fill out the request form and submit it on-line.
4. How are the books organized?
Our books are organized by the Library of Congress System.

1. Where do I get items that my instructor has placed on reserve?
They are held at the circulation desk in the library.

1. Do I have access to the library once I graduate?
Yes, but you will need to come in to re-activate your account.
