Circulation Policies
The Lunder Library at KVCC welcomes students registered at the College and at
off-campus centers, distance education students, alumni, staff, faculty,
administration and residents of local communities.

Overdue Fines / Renewals
There are no daily overdue fines. Please renew your books for as long as
you need them.
Fees for Lost Books
Replacement cost of book plus $5.00 billing fee.
Penalty for Unreturned Books & Videos
Transcripts will be held until books are returned of bill is paid.
Registration and grade access will be blocked until books are returned
or bill is paid.
Distance Education Learners Policies
Distance Education Learner Policies are the same as for on-campus
students.
Interlibrary Loan Policies
Interlibrary Loan services are available for current students at KVCC.
A staff member may be asked to initiate the request or patrons
may complete an online book borrowing request while searching the
catalog. A PHOTO ID CARD, WHICH CAN BE PICKED UP FROM THE TECHNOLOGY
DEPARTMENT, IS REQUIRED TO COMPLETE THE REQUEST. Staff members can also
request photocopies of journals that aren't available in print or
electronically. If there is a charge from the loaning library, we will
first obtain permission from you to proceed. The Lunder Library is open
to the general public. There is no charge for a library card. Reciprocal
visiting patron privileges are maintained with the Colby
College libraries, the Thomas College library, the MaineGeneral library,
and Waterville Public Library.
Reference Policies
All Library users are encouraged to ask for assistance with their
information needs. These can be communicated:

Information Literacy
All Library users may request either individual or group instruction in
research skills by contacting any of the Library staff.
Privacy Policies
The library recognizes the confidentiality of information sought or
received and materials consulted, borrowed or acquired by the library
user. These materials may include database search records, circulation
records, interlibrary loan records, and other personally identifiable
uses of library materials, facilities, programs or series. The Lunder
Library complies with Title 27 of the Maine Revised Statutes, Chapter
4-A which states as follows:
Records maintained by any public municipal library, the Maine State
Library, the Law and Legislative Reference Library and libraries of the
University of Maine System and the Maine Maritime Academy that contain
information relating to the identity of a library patron relative to the
patron's use of books or other materials at the library are
confidential. Those records may only be released with the express
written permission of the patron involved or as the result of a court
