Veteran's Educational Assistance
All credit programs offered by KVCC are approved by the Department of Veteran
Affairs (VA). (Call the VA toll free 1-888-442-4551 ). Benefits are available to
qualified military personnel, veterans and their eligible dependents. Eligible
students should obtain applications from the Financial Aid Office as far in
advance of registration as possible. Request for advance pay of VA benefits must
be submitted to the Financial Aid Office 30 days prior to the start date of the
first semester. Certificates of eligibility, issued to the students by the VA,
must be submitted to the Financial Aid Office.
The Financial Aid Office will assist students with the VA application process,
payment problems and other issues that may arise during enrollment. Students who
receive VA benefits may also qualify for other financial aid offered by the
college.
Students receiving VA benefits are required to submit documentation of all
prior post-secondary education and training to the Academic Dean’s office for
evaluation for transfer credits.
