Financial Aid Awards

Eligible students will receive award letters indicating types and amounts of financial help they will receive. Students who do not qualify will receive letters explaining why they are not eligible. All students may qualify for Unsubsidized Federal Stafford Student Loans, which are offered through the William D. Ford Federal Direct Loan program.

Financial aid awards will be applied to student accounts to satisfy charges in the order they are received. Payment arrangements for charges exceeding these amounts must be made with the Cashier's Office (Ext. 5140. If financial aid awards exceed the charges, refunds will be issued to students between the 5th and 8th week of each term. Please note that first-year, first-time student borrowers are subject to a 30-day delay from the start of the term for their loan disbursement.

Students who receive awards may access their award system by logging into KVCC’s My KV Student Information Portal and linking to the financial aid folder.

Receiving Notification
When all application and verification documentation have been received and reviewed, the Financial Office will notify students (in writing) whether or not they qualify for financial aid. Students can also view their award information by accessing their on-line financial aid folder through the My KV Student Information Portal.
