Who is Eligible
Anyone planning to apply for admission to one of
KVCC's credit programs is eligible to apply for financial aid. To be awarded financial
help, you must be admitted to a
degree, diploma, or credit certificate program at KVCC.

The Financial Aid Office is located in Carter Hall @ 2nd floor Information Desk
Financial Aid staff can also be reached by telephone (207) 453-5000

WHAT Financial Aid Programs are Available
KVCC offers financial help through gift, work and loan programs to students
who establish financial need through the application process. Students
receiving help through the gift and work programs do not have to pay back the
awards as long as they remain in school and maintain satisfactory progress in
their academic programs. (See

HOW to Apply?
Complete either a new Free Application For Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) if you are
a new student or a Renewal FAFSA if you are a returning student. If you applied
for aid last year, your Renewal FAFSA should be mailed to you or sent via email if you filed
electronically. If you did not apply for aid last year or you do not receive your
Renewal FAFSA by January 1st of each year, complete a new FAFSA instead. Also

WHEN students receive notice of Financial Aid Awards
When all application and verification documentation have been received and
reviewed, the Financial Office will notify students (in writing) whether or
not they qualify for financial aid.
