EDU - Special Education

Significant Points

Patience to work with students who often do not understand why they are having such a difficult time with a subject area or their behavior.

Willingness to work closely with students, often even one on one.

Often need a creative approach to difficult situations.

Need strong communication skills, often to "teach" a subject so the student understands it.

Because you typically only work during the school year, with all school vacations off with no pay, your annually salary may not be enough to support a family.
