Applied Electronics -

Responsibilities

Critical thinking skills and problem solving techniques are a major part of a career as a technician in the electronics and computer technology fields.  Technicians in this “Information Age” are called upon to provide solutions in a wide variety of technical areas.

Industries such as; business, medical, education, government, and manufacturing all depend on technicians to install, maintain, and troubleshoot the equipment that keeps them running.

National certifications such as; International Society of Certified Electronics Technicians ISCET,  CompTIA A+, and  CompTIA Network+, are encouraged and typically sought after by today’s technicians.

"These are the people with the "screwdriver" in their hands".   Quote from Bill Dolan, the instructor of this program. After being asked how this differs from our Computer Applications Technology program.
