Personal Support Services

Personal Counseling

A referral to a part-time, licensed professional counselor is available to help students explore strategies for coping with personal issues that may impact their academic success. To begin this referral process, contact the Marden Center at 453-5174, Room 130 in King Hall to arrange a time to speak with a member of the Student Success Team.

On-Campus Daycare

On-campus child care is available for children six (6) weeks to three (3) years of age. Staff are trained in early childhood education and programming. The Center has a safe learning environment that integrates the components of nutrition, parent involvement and family services. The Child Care Center is open Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. and payment is based on a sliding scale fee based on family income.

If you are interested in enrolling your child/children in this program, or would like to receive additional information, please contact the Child Care Center at 453-5183. Applications are also available in the Marden Center in King Hall, and the Advising & Career Center in Carter Hall.

Coordination with Agency-Sponsored Training

Students sponsored by a training agency such as the Department of Labor (e.g. TAA/TRA) or the Department of Human Services (e.g. ASPIRE/Parents as Scholars) often have questions or concerns regarding their schedules and the number of credit hours required. Contact the Advising & Career Center, Room 119, Carter Hall, 453-5082 for assistance.

Parking Stickers

Vehicles must have a parking sticker displayed in the lower right hand corner of the windshield. Students may register their vehicle online through the Student Access System. The cost for a parking sticker is $15.00 for the first vehicle is billed on your student account. Additional stickers are $1.00 and are paid at the time you receive the sticker. Parking stickers are issued for the academic year and must be renewed each year.

Lockers

Lockers are located on the second floor in King Hall, and are available upon request for the academic year. Contact the Marden Center, Room 130, King Hall, 453-5174 for a locker assignment.
