Personal Support Services

Personal Counseling

A part-time, licensed professional counselor is available to help students explore coping strategies for personal issues that can interfere with academic success.  Appointments are made by contacting Jim Peacock, Carter Hall Room 119, 453-5082.

Child Care Assistance

On Campus Daycare:  On-site childcare service is provided for children age 6 weeks-3 years.  Childcare staff trained in early childhood education, children's growth and development, and family systems. Programming includes a safe, caring learning environment integrating the components of nutrition, parent involvement, family services, and mental health.  Indoor and outdoor activities are planned to develop children's self esteem and positive feelings toward learning.

We are open Monday through Friday from 7:00 am until 5:00 pm.

There is a sliding fee for this childcare program enhanced with HeadStart services based upon family income.

If you are interested in enrolling your child/children in this program, please contact the Child Care Center at 453-5183 or 873-2122 ext 210, for an appointment to complete an enrollment application or pick up an application from the Advising & Career Center located downstairs in Carter Hall.
