New Food Service at KVCC

Monday, September 21, 2015 9:32 AM
As Kennebec Valley Community College continues to remodel the cafe at the Fairfield campus this fall, our new food service partners at FitzVogt will be providing KVCC with a delicious and varied selection of food and beverage choices at a great price via their mobile kitchen, located right outside the cafe next to King Hall.

The mobile kitchen will open Friday, Sept. 4 with a limited menu, but begin full operations Tuesday, Sept. 8, when classes begin. Normal hours of operation will be 7:30 a.m.-2 p.m. each day.

The prices are very affordable and the menu is great and includes daily entree specials such as Cuban Turkey Panini, Apricot-Chile Glazed Ham, and New Orleans Muffaletta Sandwich in addition to plenty of soup, salad, sandwich, appetizer, and beverage choices. Check out the full menu in the Campus Life section of the KV Portal.

This farm is a work in progress.

We'll do our best not to bore you, but we're going to talk numbers. We're going to talk about how we make decisions, about what worked, and more importantly, what didn't work. We hope we can be a resource for students and farmers, for skeptics and city-folk alike; anyone, really, interested in what it looks like to build a farm from scratch.
