Community Day

2013 Entering Class

In 2005, KVCC participated in the Foundations of Excellence in the First Year through the John H. Gardner Institute for Excellence in Undergraduate Education. During that experience, a task force was formed, represented by an array of College departments. This group reviewed literature, College policies and procedures, as well as current programming. From this experience, a First Year Committee was created. This committee is dedicated to creating initiatives for new students.

Research shows and experience proves that it's all about a student's first year experience.  This is a time when becoming connected, staying engaged and asking questions is important to success not only in the first year but in the years thereafter.

Below you will find more information on current initiatives in place for new students.

New Student Folder

Once accepted, new students will receive a folder in the mail with helpful information on the next steps to take.
