KVCC expands summer scholarships for 2014
Fairfield, ME – Kennebec Valley Community College (KVCC) has announced an expansion of scholarships for the summer semester which runs May 19 to August 9.
The College will make approximately $125,000 in scholarships available to qualified students for the summer semester. More than 250 students are expected to benefit from the scholarships.
Applicants must fill out a simple one-page application and a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).There is no requirement to be enrolled in a program at KVCC. The scholarships are open to any student taking at least one course at KVCC who meets financial eligibility requirements.

The scholarships are available thanks to support from the Kennebec Valley Community College Foundation and the Maine Community College System.
KVCC will offer nearly 100 courses this summer. Summer courses are popular both with KVCC students looking to catch up on required courses or to get a head start on the fall, and with students from other colleges and universities who are home for the summer seeking transferable credit courses. Many also seek these courses for enrichment.

KVCC is one of seven community colleges in Maine which operate under the authority of the Maine Community College System Board of Trustees. KVCC is a public, nonprofit, post-secondary institution supported in part by state legislative appropriations and federal funds.
