Did you know?

Over 75% of KVCC students demonstrate financial need and are heavily burdened by the cost of traveling to campus and clinical sites, purchasing books, tools, and supplies, and financing tuition.

61% of our degree seeking student body receives a Pell Grant (1,174 students); meeting the lowest of income standards.

Last year, as a result of many generous gifts, the KVCC Foundation awarded $154,150 in scholarship funds to reduce the financial burden of college enrollment for over 210 financially needy students.

210 students represents only 17.8% of last year’s 1,938 unique degree seeking students.

KVCC graduates over 400 students annually from more than 30 programs of study.

No matter where you live or work in Central Maine, you have meet a KVCC graduate. Our students become the region’s line workers, farmers, chefs, nurses, respiratory therapists, teachers, electricians, accountants, medical assistants, EMTs, business managers, entrepreneurs, and the workforce that upholds our region.

Your support is needed to ensure access to educational opportunities for all students!

Gifts to the KVCC Foundation not only ensure access to education through scholarships but also provide opportunities for students to become professionals in their field by learning with state-of-the-art technology. Recent donations have supported the construction of an advanced culinary arts demonstration kitchen and a greenhouse. Grants to the KVCC Foundation also facilitate new program development such as the Sustainable Timberframe Design/Build program and have supported improvements to recreational trails and roadways on the Harold Alfond Campus in Hinckley.

We need your help to continue to achieve our mission to provide area citizens with an accessible and affordable quality education. Your investment will promote and support educational programs, state-of-the art equipment and facilities, and access through scholarship funds for needy students.

Because of friends like YOU, the legacy of scholarship and program support will continue in the upcoming academic year. Your generous support is an investment in the lives of our students and our community. Thank you for considering the gift of education, the gift of a brighter future.

"At KVCC, I am enrolled in the Electrical Lineman Technology Program. I greatly enjoy the program and cannot wait to get out in the “real world” to put all of this knowledge to great use. I pride myself in working hard and doing what is best for my family. My wife and I have been working extra hard to provide for our young son and our household. This scholarship will be a huge burden off our shoulders. I feel so honored that you chose me, thank you! It is a truly humbling feeling knowing that there are people out there, like yourself, who choose to support and help others." Christopher Vincent 2015

"I am in my third semester at KVCC. This money you're sending will go a long way in paying for the many costs I have associcated with being a full-time student. I love attending KVCC and have felt successful as a student for the first time in my life. Supporters like yourself and the KVCC Foundation are such wonderful supporters in assisting students in completing their educational dreams." Elizabeth Roy Liberal Studies, 2015
