There are two (2) types of assessments completed with new students.
- The Accuplacer is a placement test that helps guide placement in specific college courses.
- The TEAS-V and PAX are admission tests designed for applicants seeking admission to one of our health programs or the Nursing program.
The Accuplacer Test assesses a student's Writing Skills, Reading Skills, Numerical Skills, and Elementary Algebra Skills.
The TEAS-V Test (Test of Essential Academic Skills) measures a student's Math Skills, Reading Rate and Comprehension that is required of Allied Health Programs. The TEAS-V was formerly called the Health Occupations Basic Entrance Test (HOBET)
The PAX-RN evaluates the academic ability of prospective RN students. The exam tests basic verbal, math, and science skills at a high school level.
